What is Honors Student Council (HSC)? |
Honors Student Council (HSC) is an organization that fosters community among all Honors students at Texas A&M University, encompassing University Honors, college/departmental Honors programs, and more. It also advocates for Honors students by representing their voices in policy decisions made by the faculty senate Honors and Undergraduate Research Advisory Committee (HURAC), which impact all Honors programs at TAMU.

What does HSC do? |
HSC promotes and provides programming that includes presentations and panels by professors and other experts, socials for Honors students to network with each other, and opportunities to present and learn about research conducted at the University.
HSC also brings together student representatives from each Honors program to ensure that all voices are heard. Consider becoming the appointed HSC representative for your college/departmental Honors program! Contact your Honors program's director: honorsprograms.tamu.edu |
Is participation in HSC required? |
By virtue of being a student in any Honors department, all Honors students gain automatic membership into the Honors Student Council. However, participation is not required for all.

How do I remain an active member? |
Active members must attend two events each semester (at least one of which must be an academic event and one event must be in person) and remain in good standing with their respective University, College, and/or Departmental Honors programs.
